Ripening period: 1 October to 15 January
Characteristics: Exterior is a reddish-brown structure, sometimes with rusty stains, its surface is smooth and has small warts. The taste and aroma are very similar to the white truffle (Tuber Magnum Pico).
This type of truffle grows in symbiosis with lime, oak, poplar and hazel, etc. The size varies from pea to walnut and very rarely large specimens.
